We stock under Glacier and Vandervell reference numbers. Glacier Big End Bearing reference numbers are prefixed B followed by a four or five digit number (where the first digit indicates the number of cylinders/bearing pairs) and the size e.g. B4355/STD. Vandervell Big End Bearing references are prefixed VPR followed by a two, three or five digit number e.g. VPR819/STD. Whichever reference you search for, you will be offered a Vandervell or Glacier equivalent part if we have determined they are interchangeable. We supply bearing sets in a range of materials - most commonly SA (Steel shell, reticular tin aluminium lined) or LC (Steel shells, copper-lead lined with lead-tin overlay) depending on availability by size and are priced accordingly. Some bearings are specifically LC and the letters LC or ACL are included in the part number E.g. B4355LC/STD. If LC is not indicated as available by part number and you would prefer it, please note this on your order and it will be supplied __if available and in stock__ with a £10 surcharge.

All bearings supplied at STD or pre-finished under sizes are ready for immediate fitment. Semi-finished (SF, 1/16” Semi Finished suffix or description) and Unbored (UNB suffix) bearings MUST always be bored to size in the fitting process. Semi-finished bearings are generally shown as fractional sizes e.g. 1/8”, 1/16” or 3/32” Semi. They can usually be re-sized back to STD or to the lowest pre-finished size originally available for the bearing set. Please refer to established technical documentation for available sizes, guidance on running clearances etc.
