PRICES - Prices quoted on this site are regularly maintained as up to date as possible, though errors and omissions do occur with such a large product range and we reserve the right to amend or update pricing at any time. Prices are listed in Pounds Sterling (£/GBP) and are subject to carriage and 20% VAT.
EXCHANGE ITEMS - Exchange Items – Products are identified as Exchange Items where we will only supply a part where we have previously received an old core unit back from you that we have verified is in serviceable condition. The old serviceable unit must be received and verified by us before a refurbished replacement item is supplied.
TERMS - Payment with order please. Any credit or debit will be shown on the invoice. We do not hold credits but send refunds with the goods. Any balance due should be settled immediately the goods are received. We reserve the right to charge interest on outstanding accounts, at a rate 3% in excess of current Bank of England base rate. Cheques and bank drafts should be made payable to "Vintage Supplies" and will need to clear before goods are dispatched.
CREDIT CARDS - We accept Visa, Delta, Switch and Mastercard on mail order or telephone orders, subject to conditions.
GUARANTEE - We will replace or refund the full price paid for any parts, provided that they are returned to us immediately. We regret that we cannot extend this to cover rubbers, materials, etc. which have been cut off rolls, unless we have provided the wrong goods to your order, or they are in some way faulty. If you are in doubt, request a sample prior to ordering. We endeavour to comply to the Trade Descriptions Act by providing accurate descriptions of the goods offered for sale. Should you feel that any product is misrepresented, please advise us so that we may amend the description.
LIABILITY - We accept liability only for items which are proved faulty by reason of our negligence. Such liability is limited to the price paid for the item and does not include any consequential loss whatsoever.
ORDERING - The use of original numbers does not indicate supply of original parts. We reserve the right to supply pattern/remanufactured parts as necessary. it is the purchaser's responsibility to ensure and check that parts supplied are suitable for the vehicle and use intended by them, and the supplier gives no warranty express or implied of suitability. If you or your machinist are concerned the part is incorrect, please contact us for further assistance or return the part unused and undamaged for a refund. Once parts supplied have been accepted as suitable and fitted to a vehicle or become damaged in any way then no refund will be given if they are subsequently deemed to be unsuitable.
STOCK AND DELIVERY - We endeavour to prepare and dispatch all orders within three working days but, occasionally, some items will not be ex-stock and will be marked 'to follow' on the invoice and will be dispatched immediately new stock becomes available.
FAULTY OR DAMAGED ITEMS - We must be notified of faulty or damaged items immediately on receipt of goods. If goods have been sent via carrier, please sign "damaged" if apparent. A claim submitted if goods are received and signed for "not checked", "unexamined" or with any other words to the same effect on the Delivery Note, this is not adequate in case of claim.
RIGHT TO CANCEL - (Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Directive 97/7/EC). The right to cancel allows you time to examine the goods. The cooling off period starts when the contract is concluded and ends 14 days after the day the goods are received. You must advise us of your intent to cancel your order and return the goods within the 14 days. Once you have informed us, you have a further 14 days to return the goods and we will refund you to the extent detailed in our FAQs and Terms and Conditions within 14 days of receiving the goods back. The right to cancel does not apply to materials which have been cut off rolls e.g. chain, or any other item made to order.
When customers exercise the right to cancel they are under a duty to take reasonable care of the goods and to return them to us in the condition they were supplied. It is the responsibility of the customer to cover return postage costs. It is advised that returned items be sent via recorded mail as we cannot be held responsible for lost items.
Order cancellations must be submitted to us in writing – by email or letter.
VAT - All orders supplied in the UK are subject to VAT (currently 20%) on the prices shown.
CARRIAGE - ALL PRICES SHOWN ARE CARRIAGE EXTRA.
**U.K. ** - We currently have a minimum postage/packing rate of £4.80 per order. We despatch goods via the most economical method possible with a standard basic carrier charge of £9.00 per parcel for most of the UK. Items requiring extra packaging on wood, in tubes etc. are charged extra. The Highlands, Islands and Northern Ireland are despatched by Parcelforce and subject to extra charges and size restrictions.
OVERSEAS - We are restricted by postal services criteria for some despatches of goods over 1 metre long, depending on country. We despatch goods less than 2kg weight by small packet, larger consignments are sent by Royal Mail Parcelforce or road carrier into Europe. Costs are dependent on weight of order, length of order and country of destination. Please specify whether you require air or sea despatch of packages/parcels.
